How Far Along: 13 weeks (pic: 13w0d—virtually indistinguishable from every other week so far!)
Size of Baby as Relative to Common Household Fruit or Vegetable: Peach
Total Weight Gain: Down 5 lbs. as of my Sunday weigh-in. I have a feeling that will be going up next weekend.
Sex: Two months until we’ll find that out probably.
Movement: Still waiting, and getting so frustrated that so many people in my due date circle seem to be feeling movement already. How can you be feeling movement at 11 weeks?! And why can’t I feel anything?!
Sleep: On top of having to pee every hour on the hour, I’m also having problems with limbs alternately cramping or falling asleep depending on which side I’m laying on and wake up constantly and have to adjust. I’ve resorted just to sleeping on my back (not my favorite), but I’ve heard I may not be able to do this for much longer? So I don’t know what I’m going to do. Stay awake?
What I miss: This week, I’m seriously missing cocktails.
Cravings: Pickles and frozen pizza. Gross.
Symptoms: Swollen everything (but my blood pressure is still low, so just need to drink more water and hopefully have this heat go away), all my joints hurt, body parts keep falling asleep on me, and my appetite still isn’t back. Why, exactly, does anyone enjoy being pregnant? I’m excited about the baby part, but this being pregnant business is for the birds.
Emotions: Normal? Maybe? I don’t know. Looking at my rage over women feeling movement in my due date circle, maybe not.
Maternity Clothes: Oh, yeah. While my belly pics still show no belly to speak of, I can feel the difference when I attempt to button my pants. I say attempt since most of them no longer button at all. Got my awesome new Gap maternity jeans in last week, and I’ve been making the most of them. They are sooo comfortable! I love them. 🙂
Best Moment this week: New car and new recliner!
