I missed a few weeks while we were in Texas for the holidays. Picking back up this week…31 weeks in! I’m beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel!
How Far Along: 31 weeks (pic: 31w0d)
Size of Baby as Relative to Common Household Fruit or Vegetable: Squash (this seems incredibly vague, but…)
Total Weight Gain: Up 11 lbs!
Sex: Girl
Movement: Plenty to be had.
Sleep: Still sleeping pretty well. No let up on the frequent trips to the restroom, but they don’t really seem to interfere with my sleep that much.
What I Miss: Alcoholic beverages, sushi, pants that don’t have a spandex waist band, bending over, deep breaths, control over my flatulence, etc., etc.
Cravings: This week…spicy.
Symptoms: The girls have started leaking, which was sort of an unpleasant surprise.
Emotions: Still mostly normal.
Maternity Clothes: All the time.
Best Moment This Week: We saw West Side Story yesterday at Keller Auditorium with my in-laws. So much fun! 🙂
To Do List: I’m adding this because the days are dwindling, and there’s still a lot to be done. We have the cosleeper, but still need lots of sheets. We have about a day’s worth of one-size cloth pocket diapers and AIOs, but I still need at least 2 days worth of prefolds and covers in smaller sizes to get us through the first few months. The breast pump and bathinette have been purchased and are due to arrive any day now. The in-laws are buying our car seat, which leaves the stroller and swing as our only really expensive items left on the list. I figure we’ll probably get those after the shower, which is going to be on Feb. 5 (Super Bowl Sunday…should be interesting.) I think we’re good for clothes and blankets, although I expect we’ll probably get a lot more before all is said and done. We definitely need more storage space, and I’m starting to get a little nervous (again) about where we’re going to put everything in. My house is a mess, and it’s making me totally antsy, but good luck finding free time on our calendar to clean. I think I’m going to have to put a day on the calendar sometime in the next week or two to do a deep cleaning, or I may go absolutely nuts. While I wish time would speed up so that our baby could be here sooner, I wish that in the time we had left, we had less on our plates so that I could actually get this huge list of things done…
