How Far Along: 40 weeks (Pic: 40w0d)
Isla Comparison: Here
Size of Baby as Relative to Common Household Fruit or Vegetable: Baby-sized!
Total Weight Gain: Up 28 lbs.
Sex: Boy
Movement: Slowed, but not stopped.
Sleep: I keep waking up for an hour or two in the middle of the night. It’s frustrating, but I guess it’s good practice for what’s to come.
What I Miss: Not swelling up in the least amount of heat.
Cravings: Taco Bell is still my weakness.
Symptoms: Baby is low, low, low in my pelvis, and I’ve been having a lot more Braxton-Hicks. I expect this to go on for a while, though. Honestly, I still feel pretty good for being at my due date. I’m still able to get out and walk every day, do my yoga, and am moving around pretty well. I’d love to have labor surprise me and show up today, but I have a feeling I’ve got at least a few more days to go, and I figure if it had to happen to someone, might as well happen to the lady who’s had an obnoxiously pleasant and comfortable pregnancy.
Maternity Clothes: Seriously. I’m out of clothes.
Preparations: Have a baby!
Emotions: Ready.
Best Moment(s) This Week: My parents took Isla for most of the week, so Kellen and I got to laze around the house a lot. Also, my mother-in-law got me a pedicure! Kellen came with me, and we both have much prettier feet. Hoping the baby gets here before my toenails start to look ratty again.
