I’ve mentioned before (repeatedly) that we don’t have much room in our current place for baby. With some news in the past couple of weeks that makes staying in Portland for the foreseeable future a definite, we decided it would be easiest if we could just stay in the same apartment complex for the next year, but move into a 3/2. I went and talked to the leasing office folks, and it looks like we won’t have to wait for our lease to be up before we can move into a larger place. They can do a mid-lease transfer (something a lot of places around here won’t do), and we can move to a new place without having to pay out the end of our lease or without having a bunch of additional fees. Only our rent will go up.

So we’ve been put on a wait list for a 3-bedroom. The only problem now is that they haven’t had one come available in 4-5 months and availability is pretty low. She said she expects that a couple will probably open up between now and July, though, so hopefully we get a call…
