We made it through pre-qualification for a loan and our gorgeous house passed the inspection and appraisal with no issues at all. We&#8217;ve been through underwriting and now all that remains is to close on the house, which <em>fingers crossed<\/em> will happen next Tuesday without any issues.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m so excited about the move. We drive by the road where we will be living when we take Isla to daycare, and every day I think, &#8220;Only x days until this is where I turn off!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve moved over 25 times since I was 18 and bounced from Northeast Texas to Central Texas to Minnesota to Washington state to Oregon and back to Central Texas again. My suitcases and moving boxes have accumulated thousands of miles. Our new home will be the <em>4th<\/em> place my daughter will have lived in her short life, and she won&#8217;t even be 2 until March!<\/p>\n<p>I can&#8217;t even say how thrilled I am to be putting down some roots, to be moving into a home we know we will be in for at least the next 10 years, possibly longer. Once we finish this move, everything we own is coming out of boxes and all of our boxes will be given to our friends who are moving in February. No more moving boxes. No more constantly being on the lookout for the next great place to live. No more rolling stone lifestyle. We&#8217;re done, y&#8217;all. We&#8217;re going <em>home<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Now just to get everything packed up around visiting family and Christmas festivities!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;re almost home owners!
