Best Gifts for Baby’s First Christmas

Best First Christmas Gifts

B. One Two Squeeze Blocks $14.99

These soft blocks are great for stacking, chewing, squeezing, and even throwing. They’ve been a favorite in our house for nearly 2 years.

Radio Flyer Classic Walker Wagon $99.99

Is baby getting ready to walk? A push toy like this beautiful Radio Flyer wagon is a great way for baby to practice for his or her big first steps.

Freddie the Firefly $15.99

Isla loved her Freddie the Firefly. Bright and colorful, with lots of interesting textures and sounds for curious mouths, fingers, and ears to explore, he’s a great companion for any baby.

Grimm’s Large Wooden Stacking Tower $43.50

Little ones love to sort and stack. This colorful tower will provide lots of opportunity for entertainment.

Natural Rubber Teether $15.00

Teething is no fun, but a rubber teether from Natursutten is a safe, natural way to ease baby’s teething pain. They are BPA, phthalates and nitrosamines free. Makes a great stocking stuffer.

Peekaboo Forest Cloth Book $15.99

Foster an early love of reading with cloth books. I like this series from Lamaze. Each page has little ways for baby to interact.

Infantino Twist and Fold Activity Gym $39.99

Is your baby working on reaching and grasping and rolling from back to tummy and tummy to back? A play mat is a great way to encourage their exploration. (Also, it might give you a few minutes of peace.)

Taggies Character Blanket $21.00

Isla loved her taggies when she was a baby. All of the brightly colored fabric tabs are fun for little eyes, mouths, and hands. And these character blankets make a great lovie to tuck in with your little one at night.

Fruit and Veggie Squeezies Price Varies

Looking for a sweet treat to stuff your baby’s stocking? Fruit and veggie squeezies are a healthy favorite that are the perfect size for a stocking.

We had a lot of those for the first year. The squeaky blocks and the stackers were big hits last year and of course books are always good.

I love the fruit & veggie puree idea. By the time my daughter’s first Christmas came along she had already collected more toys that she could ever play with. I love non toy gifts 🙂

I would LOVE, LOVE , LOVE to have a wagon for my daughter. I remember my mom letting me take our wagon out for a cruise down our neighborhood hill. It was such a blast! Maybe someone would donate a wagon of any kind to us one day.

I love all of these ideas. It is so easy to get stumped when it comes to getting a gift for a baby under a year of age. They have yet to develop strong personal opinions about toys and what they want, yet they are all so independently minded that it can be a bit of a puzzle trying to pick just the right thing. I love the range in your suggestions and will surely be adding a few to my shopping lists this year. If you want to break away from toys and get a gift that will benefit both the baby and the parents, I have some articles, reviews and advice you might be interested in looking over at https://www.roamingmommy.com
