Last weekend, Isla had her 3rd birthday party. She requested My Little Pony this year with a Rainbow Dash cake, so that’s exactly what she got.
I was pretty pleased with how everything turned out. The decorations we largely recycled from last year, along with some fresh balloons and a few new My Little Pony Touches. We kept the fare simple: fruit and veggie trays, PB&J sandwiches cut into stars, frittatas, and mac n cheese muffins. Kellen is the chef in the house, so he made pretty much everything, including the gorgeous rainbow cake. I did the frosting, and it turned out pretty well if I do say so myself.
Isla had a really good time at her party. She managed to blow out all the candles on her cake by herself and got to open lots of presents. A couple of her friends were able to come, and the three of them had a good time playing with all of Isla’s toys, old and new. It’s so fun watching these little girls grow up together, and seeing what funny, sweet, whip smart little characters they’re becoming.
We are so lucky to have our moose and good family and friends to celebrate milestones like this with us.
I’m a little late to the party, but happy birthday Isla! She’s a cutie, and the cake looks awesome!
Thanks. 🙂
So fun and colorful! Great job with the cake!
Thanks. 🙂
